People (Realtors, builders, prospects, friends and family) all need to feel confident in your knowledge of products and rates before they will refer loans to you or trust you enough to do their personal loan. Becoming an expert in mortgage financing does not mean that you know everything. It means you consistently study and stay up to date on industry changes and current rates.
This may feel overwhelming, especially if you are new in the industry. There truly are mountains of information to master, but if you take it in bite-sized pieces the climb won't be too difficult.
Block out 15 minutes each morning to keep yourself updated on what's moving the market and current rates. Mortgage Market Guideis an excellent resource for this. Block out at least one hour each week to study program guidelines and recent changes. More if you are new or feel it is needed. Mortgage Educators and Mortgage Currentcy offer program training and updates.

I'm loving these traits. There is always something I can improve on. I scored a 120. Yay! I love my processor - so I know that helps.
