After I did this post on database phone calls, Velma Guru Brent Elmer reminded me of the new custom reminder feature in Velma. I figured there might be a few other bells and whistles I've forgotten about so asked Brent to give me the top three features being used on Velma right now.

1. Reminders – A new custom reminder feature allows the loan officer to not only be notified of specific events like birthdates and loan reviews but also set phone call back reminders, email follow up reminders, in person visit reminders and custom reminders such as “meet for lunch” as an example.Auto Campaigns
2. Velma provides a “set it and forget it” marketing capability. Users can set up specific contacts to receive email newsletters and/or print pieces automatically. This makes sure that no matter how busy the loan officer gets their marketing is always being done. Being able to set specific contacts also makes sure marketing dollars and efforts are being focused on those customers who are most likely to complete a transaction.
3. Tracking – Velma feels its vital to ensure marketing is tracked for effectiveness. Velma’s email tracking feature allows the loan officer to track if and when a customer is opening their email marketing pieces. The idea is if a customer/prospect isn’t opening the email marketing piece then it probably isn’t very effective. The loan officer should set a call back to check in and find out why the message isn’t getting through.

This looks exactly like what I need. I am so disorganized, it sounds like I need to give Velma a try! Thanks Bliss!!!!
